One share of a macadamia nut tree on the Hawaii Island Macadamia Nut Company grounds. If you purchase 10 shares you get to name the tree. * Some restrictions apply contact us for more details. The tree share grants a partial ownership in a tree located in the HIMNCO orchard on the Island of Hawaii. Obviously you cannot take the tree anywhere, but you can visit it. The share is yours for the current price. What is the ‘catch’ is your annual maintenance fee. The fee allows your tree to be taken care by us, according to our best practices to ensure and continue the health and wellbeing of the orchard. Your ‘dividend’ is a single pound of nuts, shipping included. This will happen once per season per share. You will have the option to choose dehydrated nuts or in shell nuts for your eating pleasure. The annual maintenance fee is due initially when you purchase the share, and on the same date each year moving forward. You may ‘sell your share’ back to us for the purchase price anytime. If you fail to remit the maintenance fee within 30 days of expiration you will forfeit your share and it is returned to us without penalty or fees. The name only option has no maintenance fee, also no nuts will be sent to you. You will get a certificate and map showing where your tree is. The 10 share option is just that, you will have 10 shares worth of maintenance fees per year also and all of the regular share conditions will apply.
